Jason has brought it to my attention that as we grow, we may have some "privacy" issues, so in anticipation of this, I'm going to make a few changes this weekend. Nobody panic if I accidentally the whole thing.
Anyway, here are the changes I'll be making - let me know if you're on board with them or if you see problems:
1. Change sign-ups to an "approval needed" format, so that when someone signs up to the board, they are not automatically part of the SCP. They will go to a "Pending Member" pool and myself and/or other moderators will have the ability to approve them for full membership.
2. Piggy-backing off of the "Pending Member" idea is making the board restricted. Guests and Pending Members don't need to see our developmental threads and topics, right? Of course they don't. So, while some boards will be free for them to look at - Rules, Introductions, etc. - some of them will be restricted to full members only.
3. A "Development" board. I'll have to move some already-in-progress threads to it once I make it, but it will basically be a board for nothing but developing ideas, like for the Kill Team and Campaign stuff.
Does everything look good?

Okay so a few changes have already been implemented. Hopefully by the end of the day, they will all be made. 1. The development boards are now active. I'll be going through existing threads and moving appropriate ones to the new area. There are two stages of development. In a nutshell, they are "Pre-Play-Test" (or Stage I), and "Post-Play-Test" (or Stage II). Only members can view them, meaning that any guests will not have access to these areas. 2. All guests who sign up to the board from this point on will have to be approved by a staff member before they receive full membership. I still need to do a little bit of poking around to figure out how this works, so if you see a new member sign up to the board, it's probably going to be a test account that I made. Expect some pretty new things to pop up. I might be changing font colors and adding a sort of "Color Code" at the info center box at the bottom of the main page. Meaning that Staff, Founding Members, Members, and Pending Members will all have their own font color.

Finally got the coding figured out for that. On the home page, if you scroll down to where the info center is at the bottom, you'll see everyone is listed with a snazzy new color, and you should also see a key for those colors! Oh and I started moving a few threads to the development area.

Proboards has been doing some maintenance lately, and all theory sites are lagging. I'm posting this from phone, and everything seems ok this morning.

Oh good. It was getting really irritating, trying to work on the board and having it down all the time. But I logged on this morning without any problems either! Looks like Proboards figured their shit out.

Another change, this time kind of small and insignificant:
I changed the board and thread highlight colors to something a little bit lighter so that the text doesn't practically disappear when you hover over them.
So, yeah, it's a little thing, but little things matter!
I'm still messing around with stuff here and there, but keep your eye on the "Rules" area. I'm drafting up some new stuff that we can all follow when we are out and about as a group.
