Ello everyone. So at the moment I'm trying to decide just how to manage end of year awards. If I have clear winners for BEST OVERALL, then its not really an issue. As of right now "Nuns with Sons" have won two events, "Orkey Knights" have 1 win and then Alex & Robert have 1 win. The big problem is that BEST OVERALL & BEST GENERALS just might be the only seasonal awards I can give out based off of how often players jump teams. I decided to open up this thread to ask for thoughts and ideas.
Let me know what everyone thinks of the following possible awards. I was thinking of using the top four scores for each team.
1.) BEST OVERALL? 2.) BEST GENERALS? 3.) BEST SPORTS? 4.) TOTALLY UNLUCKY AWARD? (Lowest battle score over the course of the season?)

I think Best Overall, 2nd Best Overall, and Best Generals.
I think people that score low at the Twin-Linked Tournaments get plenty of prize support during the year, i dont think you should keep rewarding them for being bad.
Best Sports is a good one if your giving 4 awards out. I think it'll be hard to figure out and could be pretty contested. But I dont think it'd be a bad 4th award to give out.

I was considering giving out awards for the top three teams for the season which takes everything into account including sports, players choice votes, battle and comp...

That'd work I think. But are doing it for teams or the individuals?
I know you said it has been hard to track teams every month. I think rewarding teams that have played all year together or 4 times or whatever the breakdown is going to be should be commended. I personally would take the top 4 scores, that way some people dont try and switch teams after 3 and receive double awards or what not.
I think Top 3 overall TEAMS is the best way to go. What are you thinking of doing for prizes?

Yeeman,
As you know the seasonal awards came down to this;
Teams were ranked by the top three showings during the season with the same partner regardless of your team name.
I think I ended up giving out a bit to much for prize support but it was a really great year so I don't mind spending a bit of money out of pocket.
The overall winners for the past 2 years will end up with plaques and I'll be creating a large wooden Twin Linked Sign to hang up in the game room for the season displaying the top ten teams and players for 2012.
